If you do not have a water test done before drilling starts, there will be no way to determine if drilling is the cause of future contamination.
We will test for methane by gas chromatography and for fracking fluid components (diesel, ethylene glycol, alcohols, formaldehyde, and ethylhexanol) by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. These are tests that can determine if your water has been contaminated as a result of drilling. Tests for bacteria, total dissolved solids, and metals are meaningless when it comes to drilling.
Total cost for both tests is $560.
